BLESSED was created by visual artist Ella Laviera during her pregnancy in St. John (USVI). Ella was inspired by her own experience and began to combine images in the form of a pregnant woman's silhouette. By the end of her pregnancy, BLESSED's "Mom 2Be" series was born, a collection of hand-made collages. This collection has been used as Pregnancy Announcement Cards, Baby Shower Invitations, Thank You Cards, Gift Cards etc.
 
When Ella's son Kayden was born the family returned to New York. Like most children, Kayden was fascinated by autumn leaves. From the leaves they collected together in Central Park, the "New Leaf" series was created.
 
The "New Leaf" series has inspired Ella to create Blessed Fabrics (coming soon).
